The Mano Cornuto Story
I'm Aaron, a wholesale wine rep in Oregon wine country. I've been selling wine since 2002, with stints in import, retail, and production before moving to wholesale with Galaxy Wine Company (Wilson Daniels) in 2015.
The part of my story that led me to this project: I was diagnosed with throat cancer in April of 2025. I underwent seven weeks of chemo and radiation that summer, meeting some very strong fellow patients along the way. For many of them, the struggle extended far beyond the physical toll of treatment.
They worried about things like paying for their care, covering rent, and finding rides to the clinic. Some walked to treatment. Others struggled to afford food on top of their medical bills. The obvious, human response when you see people suffer like that is to want to help. That is what this project is about.
As a testament to how generous our wine industry is, it was not difficult to get Ken and Erica at Walter Scott on board. The same goes for Shelby Perkins, who didn't hesitate, insisting I pay only her farming costs. I presented Jane Russell with my idea and she drew the label by hand at no charge. Each one of those contributions means direct support for cancer patients in the Willamette Valley. Thank you, team Mano Cornuto, for stepping up.
As the project came together, my employer, Wilson Daniels, gave me their blessing to run with it. That means I am selling the rosé during my regular workday, calling on businesses throughout the valley. Inspired by what the project became, they also made their own gift of $30,000 to The Willamette Valley Cancer Foundation. Everything this wine generates will be in addition to that.
Thank you for buying a bottle or enjoying a glass this year.
